Inochimeans life in English. The drawing is inspired by traditional Japanese ghost stories as well as contemporary painting. There are two printed versions, one in dark grey tones and Sumi ink, and one in light yellow warm tones.

Description

Subtitled damn, your ghosts again, the image illustrates the power of human intelligence, such as the choices we make to allow us to identify with our own stories. The print in moody grey tones represents the darker moments of our life. Whereas the bright yellow ones stands for joyful choices and moments.

The wood carving is done on three solid lime woodblocks. A key block and two colour blocks, all locally sourced in London.

The colour print is made of several impressions o various grey tones to create texture and depth.

The inks and pigments used are high-quality inks and light-safe.

All prints are hand-printed therefore no one print is the same that the other.

Print size 13 cm x 18 cm , hand-printed on Japanese Awagami paper

Frame size 18 cm x 22.5 cm, vintage wood frame painted in black, c.a. 1930, a bit fragile, still with a triangle hook to hang it.
